SAN MARCOS, GUATEMALA

The San Marcos coffee growing region is the warmest in Guatemala. It also benefits from the highest rainfall in the country.  

 

Since it rains more, the flowering tends to occur earlier. This results in coffee cherries developing slightly sooner than other regions. Subsequently, coffees are often available a bit earlier in the season.
